Governance

The John Wallis Church of England 0-19 Academy Governing Body

The Governing Body of a school plays a vital role in ensuring the success and continuous improvement of the institution. Acting as a strategic leadership team, the Governing Body is responsible for overseeing the school’s overall direction, performance, and financial health. Its members work collaboratively with the school leadership to uphold high educational standards, promote student achievement, and ensure the school operates effectively within the legal and policy frameworks set by educational authorities.

By balancing support with accountability, the Governing Body helps to shape the school’s vision, approve key policies, and monitor progress toward long-term goals. Ultimately, its core purpose is to provide strong governance that fosters a safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment for every student.
