Waterside's Children's Centre
Christmas can be a hard time to cope for our children with SEND and we want to help.
Come along to our session which will include talks,information sharing and resource making. There will also be a play area for pre-school children too.

Come along once a month to the Waterside Children's Centre's friendly support group for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The Education People have been funded by Kent County Council to deliver training to parents and carers of children with SEND from across Kent.
We have been informed that Kent Autistic Trust (KAT) have begun to provide information sessions for parents.

children and young people in Kent by businesses and community organisations who are working with us to make Reconnect a success. These include:

An open letter to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), their parents, families and others who support them from Vicky Ford, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families.
The weekly Parenting Drop in session is aimed at all parents with children aged 0-25 years. If you have any concerns about your child/children’s behaviour or have found yourself in a challenging situation, please come along for advice, guidance and support. *No appointment necessary*
For ages 8-13 years Imago provides:
- Support for the child and the family
- 6-7 hour day trips during the school half term and summer holidays
- After school clubs (will hopefully be returning from April 2022)
- Weekly online meeting via Zoom where we run various activities and games
For ages 14-19 year Imago provides:
- Support for the young person and their family
- 6-7 hour day trips once a month on a Saturday
- 6-7 hour day trips during the school half term and summer holidays
- Weekly online meeting via Zoom where we run various activities and games
The criteria for the service is that a child/young person needs to either have a diagnosis of a disability and/or have an EHCP in place or in process.
