How we treat one another matters.
At The John Wallis Church of England Academy, we have high expectations of behaviour because every pupil deserves to learn in a calm, safe and respectful environment.
But our expectations are about more than rules. They grow from the values that define our community: Love, Integrity, Generosity, Hope and Togetherness.
We want pupils to understand that their choices matter; to themselves and to the people around them. We teach them to take responsibility, show kindness, persevere when things are difficult and take pride in doing the right thing. And we notice when they do.
Our merit system celebrates effort, attitude, achievement and acts of kindness, because success comes in many forms. We believe young people rise to high expectations when they know the adults around them believe they can meet them.
We will expect a great deal from your child because we believe they are capable of a great deal.
