Reward and Conduct

Our policy is based on choices and consequences.

We understand that pupils of different ages require different approaches, due to their age and stage.  We also recognise that behaviour management can be a complex issue that necessitates good relationships with school and home.

Within our choices and consequences policy, early intervention and prevention remain key strategies, with staff believing that it is the behaviour that requires modification and importantly not the child.  In some cases, we will consider an Individual Behaviour Support Plan (IBSP) which will be written by the class teacher and SENCo.  Finally, all staff demonstrate the Christian values of LIGHT when interacting with families and pupil rewards are frequently used during the day, with classes working together to achieve key goals.  Every day is a new start.
