The John Wallis Church of England Academy has a fully inclusive admissions policy ensuring it is open to all students, whatever their religious denomination or background.
The John Wallis Academy fully complies with the School Admissions Code of Practice and the School Admission Appeals Code of Practice as these apply to maintained schools.
Entry to the Sixth Form will be based on students’ suitability for the courses available and gives priority of places to students already in The John Wallis Academy and to students in the catchment area, subject to their meeting a minimum level of attainment.

September 2020 | Information regarding secondary transfer is available from Kent County Council website and through your child’s primary school. |
September/October 2020 | Secondary Schools hold open events. |
15th October 2020 | Kent Test for Kent Primary School pupils |
2nd November 2020 | Parents must have applied for a school place by this date, either online or by returning Kent’s Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF) to your child’s primary school. |
By 26th November 2020 | Kent Test Assessment decisions sent to parents |
1st March 2021 | Offers of school places sent out by the Local Authority. Email messages will be sent after 4pm to parents who applied online and letters will be posted first class on 1st March. |
15th March 2021 | Last date to inform the Local Authority if you wish to place your child’s name on a waiting list for any school named on the SCAF. |
15th March 2021 | You must let the school you have been offered know whether or not you are accepting the place by this date. |
26th March 2021 | If you wish to appeal for a place at any school named on the SCAF but were not offered, you should do so by this date. |
21st April 2021 | Any vacant places are reallocated by the Local Authority. |
